PAKISTAN URGENT APPEAL

 

Dear All,

I am sure like the rest of us in the vintage world you see the terrible pictures coming from the flooding in Pakistan. This moved some of our members to get together to raise some funds for these people who do not even have the clothes on their back. 

So with this in mind we decided to contact all or most of the Clubs across the 32 counties to see if they would come on board with us to raise much needed funding for these people. Bearing in mind that if each club raised €1000 we have the potential to raise a significant sum of money. While this may seem like a drop in the ocean remember that the ocean is made up of small drops.

We are hoping to get this money directly onto the ground in Pakistan via GOAL  .  

At this early stage we are still working on permits, etc. etc. etc but we are hoping that this could culminate in a meeting with representatives from all clubs somewhere in the Midlands, venue to be decided,  on Saturday, 25^th September, 2010. Details of this will be forwarded to you,

We will have national coverage on the run-up and we are hoping to have national news media and the Irish Vintage Scene present on the day.
